NEW YORK, NY (October 22, 2009) - Lou Hammond & Associates is proud to announce its association with Panama City Beach, a four-season destination situated in Bay County, Fla. in the Northwest part of the state.  Often referred to as “The Emerald Coast,” this part of Florida is known for its more than 27 miles of white sand beaches edging emerald-green waters where the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay converge.

Construction is progressing ahead of schedule on the new Northwest Florida-Panama City International Airport, set to open in May 2010.  The eco-conscious terminal will open as the first in the United States to incorporate security requirements resulting from 9/11.  The 100,000 square-foot facility is expected to attract travelers from major markets, both domestic and international.  Southwest Airlines recently announced it will commence eight daily flights through the airport.
