THE FUN NEVER SETS ON PANAMA CITY BEACH:
ANNOUNCING PREVIEW OF CONCERTS AND EVENTS TAKING PLACE THIS FALL
Panama City Beach, FL., July 14, 2011 – Panama City Beach, the REAL.FUN. BEACH. destination offering something fun for everyone, is enticing travelers to visit this fall with The Fun Never Sets Concert Series and line-up of special events to appeal to visitors of all ages.
“The fun truly never sets in Panama City Beach, especially during the fall,” states Dan Rowe, president and CEO of Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This is one of the best times to visit and we look forward to showcasing this spectacular season with a cadre of spectacular performances and activities.”
The concert series includes two country music’s hottest stars – Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean; pop music sensation – Miranda Cosgrove; and a lineup of chart-topping contemporary Christian acts.
- Fun Never Sets Christian Music Fest, (August 26 – 28, 2011) – Following the success of last summer’s contemporary Christian concerts, Panama City Beach is upping the ante with a three-day music festival. Guests can enjoy performances by award-winning acts including Third Day, TobyMac, Matthew West, Switchfoot, Petra, Family Force 5, Peter Furler (formerly of Newsboys), Jamie Grace and more. On Sunday, guests will convene at Aaron Bessant Park for a morning worship service.
- Fun Never Sets Country Music Fest – (September 23 – 24, 2011) – Country music stars will “kick back” in Panama City Beach this fall along with their fans for a special concert series. On Fri., Sept. 23, Miranda Lambert, who recently won the 2011 ACM Female Vocalist of the Year award and the CMT Music Award Female Video of the Year for “The House that Built Me,” will take the stage following opening performances by friends Justin Moore and Randy Rogers Band.
On Sat., Sept. 24, Jason Aldean will delight his fans in Panama City Beach. One of the hottest acts in the industry, Aldean’s My Kinda Party is currently the top-selling country album for 2011 and ranked No. 4 on the all-genre top-selling albums list.
- Miranda Cosgrove, Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” star to perform “Sail Away” concert Columbus Day weekend – (October 7 – 9, 2011) – Attention tweens and teens. As the Columbus Day weekend is typically a long weekend or becomes part of “Fall Break” from school, this is the perfect time for a family vacation. Panama City Beach is hosting a fun-filled Pirates of the High Seas themed weekend that includes a Mardi Gras-style pirate parade, treasure hunts and costume contests, “Let the Good Times Roll” block party, the reenactment of the Battle for the Seven Seas fireworks show and more. On Sun., Oct. 9, the weekend culminates with a “Sail Away” performance by Miranda Cosgrove, who is also filming the fifth season of “iCarly” when not on tour.
