Fahlgren Advertising Expands Client Base into Florida’s Panhandle
COLUMBUS, Ohio (October 6, 2009) — Fahlgren Advertising is pleased to announce the expansion of its client base after a recent win with Panama City Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau. Fahlgren will serve as advertising agency of record to launch a marketing communications plan to drive year-round visitation to Panama City Beach, Fla. from both domestic and international locations. The agency will also work to broaden alliances between the new Panama City-Bay County International Airport and other airlines.

Fahlgren’s established presence in Florida makes the collaboration with Panama City Beach ideal and will allow the agency to leverage its extensive experience in tourism promotion and statewide marketing. Drawing from its dedicated tourism and leisure practice area, Fahlgren will utilize its footprint across several states — including Georgia and Ohio — to analyze key trends and reach Panama City Beach’s target markets.

“What makes this partnership so exciting is that we have a new opportunity to showcase what sets us apart from other beach destination,” said Dan Rowe, president and CEO of Panama City Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau. “With the new addition of our airport, we’re now in the national spotlight. Using this as a springboard, we’re in a position to compete for tourists in new and emerging markets.”

Fahlgren’s experience in Florida dates back about 20 years when the agency opened a satellite branch in Fort Lauderdale. For more than a decade, Fahlgren supported VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s official source for travel planning and has received accolades from Florida’s Governor Charlie Crist for efforts promoting tourism in the Sunshine State.

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to continue and grow our tourism practice in a place where we already have so much history,” said Neil Mortine, chairman of Fahlgren, Inc. “Our familiarity in the region will prove to be nothing but invaluable as we begin our partnership to position Panama City Beach as a dominant player in the tourism market.”
