Panama City Beach, Fla., October 12, 2011 – Classic cars, hot rods and the people – young and young-at-heart – who love them gear up for the seventh annual Emerald Coast Cruizin’, Mon., Nov. 7 – Sat., Nov. 12, in Panama City Beach, Fla. The event features an array of events and activities, music, food and fun. It takes place at Frank Brown Park, 16200 Panama City Beach Parkway, and various locations throughout the destination.
Emerald Coast Cruizin’ is expected to draw more than 3,000 cars from across the country. You’ll see the best in hot rods; classic, custom and muscle cars; street rods; and competition vehicles from far and wide. Billed as the “South’s Best Blast from the Past,” the event features cool car displays, beachfront cruises, burnout contests, a 50’s Rock & Roll Beach Bash, a spectacular Kick-Off Block Party, and over 125 vendors, where you’ll find everything from hubcaps to headlights and unique auto accessories. Bring a chair and watch the event’s signature car parade. Or drive off with a ride of your own at the classic car auction where cars of all makes and models will be on display.

Monday, November 7
- Vehicle Registration opens at Sharky’s Beach Front Restaurant, 15201 Front Beach Rd. Throughout the week, Sharky’s will operate as Cruise Central, where you can purchase event t-shirts, hear announcements and show off your ride.
Wednesday, November 9
- Show off your ride and admire the eclectic mix of custom hot rods, muscle cars and more at the biggest block party on the Gulf Coast, taking place at Sharky’s. You’ll have the chance to win prizes, hear live music and receive special awards.
- Later that evening, Sandpiper Beacon kicks off the huge Welcome Party at its world- famous “Tiki Bar,” 17403 Front Beach Rd.
Thursday, November 10
- Head to Frank Brown Park for the chrome-plated Show and Shine. Event activities include: DJ KOTO “King of the Oldies” spinning tunes, vendor displays, and special guest Lynda Vaughn, known as Ms Hurst Golden Shifter (the first lady of drag racing), who will be on-hand greeting guests at Frank Brown Park from Thurs. – Sat., Nov. 10-12.
- In the evening, the BURN OUT Competition takes place at Hammerhead Fred’s, 8752 Thomas Drive.
Friday, November 11
- Celebrate the event’s signature car parade at 4:00 p.m. where cars, trucks and custom hot rods line the streets. The route begins at beautiful Pier Park and winds through Panama City Beach’s Famous Miracle Strip to Sharky’s where, after the parade, the fun is in overdrive at the event’s legendary back to the 50’s Beach Fest Concert with The Cadillacs Band. Car enthusiasts and event participants will enjoy a night of camaraderie, food, drinks and live music. Concert Admission is $5.00, tickets can be purchased at registration and the event site.
Saturday, November 12
- Participate or view an exciting Flame Throwing Contest at Pineapple Willy’s, 9875 S Thomas Drive.
- Cap the week off at Frank Brown Park for more vendor displays and an awards ceremony and cash drawing for $10,000. General Admission $10.00, 12 and under free, car registration is $50.00 per vehicle.
Throughout the event, nightly entertainment is provided at Pineapple Willy’s, Hammerhead Fred’s and Sharky’s. Don’t miss out on the Captain’s Cash presented by Captain Anderson’s Restaurant.
